What does a first session look like?

We first start with an intake session or diagnostic assessment. In this session your therapist will go over all consent documentation and privacy information Your therapist will then gather assessment information through a detail history taking. From there, your therapist will then provide you with a clinical assessment and treatment plan recommendations. You will work with your therapist to determine a plan that works best for you. Once you agree on a plan, the therapist will then focus on developing your therapeutic relationship and providing your specific interventions.

How often do we need to meet?

Treatment looks different for everyone but you will work with your therapist to determine what is their clinical recommendation including how often and for how long. Typically clients meet weekly or ever other week in the beginning to establish a relationship and see progress.
