Knute Sands, MA.
THERAPY, SYSTEMIC THINKER, TRAUMA & ATTACHMENT INFORMED
Supervised Clinical Therapist
Knute (he/him) is a Pre-Licensed Therapist. Therapy offers a nonjudgmental space for you to explore your identity, gain insights into relationships, resolve mental health challenges, or experience the support you need during difficult life transitions. Knute (he/him) believes every client enters therapy with innate wisdom and strengths. He works with clients to identify these strengths, learn new skills, and gain insights to build resiliency and healing through self-compassion. Knute believes in a systems approach to therapy – and that mental health symptoms do not arise solely within an individual, but are often the result of challenging family dynamics, relationships, or systemic barriers. Knute works with clients from a holistic perspective – helping them identify the mental, physical, and spiritual barriers that block growth. He draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities including attachment-informed, family systems, IFS (Internal Family Systems), existential, relational, client-centered, and trauma-informed therapies to help clients move towards healing and resiliency. Knute works from a position of deep acceptance and views the therapeutic process as collaborative, client-driven, and culturally-sensitive. Knute is passionate about supporting adolescents, adults and couples along their path toward healing, self-discovery, and greater existential purpose.
